About me

IMG_8183.JPG

Hello! My name is Paige Savoy. I am a wildlife photographer based in Ontario Canada. I am also a Veterinary Technician Student at St. Lawrence College in Kingston Ontario! I have been doing wildlife photography since November 2020 and photography in general since 2017. I have been fascinated with Wildlife and nature, animals in general really since I was very young and it has always been my passion to learn about the natural world around me and find ways to help the animals around me! which is exactly why i decided to study veterinary technology at college to possibly eventually work in saving wildlife.

In the spring of 2017 I discovered a love for photography, and I knew then that I wanted to take beautiful and compelling images of nature and wildlife. I took landscape, close ups of plants and natural structures as well as images of frogs and toads I found in my yard on my Iphone, not a professional camera by any means but I was still proud of my shots, some I still love to this day. Upon getting a DSLR for Christmas and a zoom lens I began taking images of birds and other wildlife and became obsessed with the challenge of getting "The Shot".

Its been a major learning process to get to where I'm at today, tons of research, many many hours in the field and tons of Youtube tutorial binge watching and I am constantly learning new things about light, composition, framing and post processing but I love every minute of it. This Portfolio website displays some of my absolute best work and I hope you enjoy my images and your time scrolling through my website :)
